Entry Details & Fees:
   

Event Name: Sandakphu 70 Mile Himalayan Race (4 days, 70 Miles (112 KM), Max Altitude: 3636 m).
To register for a race you should complete an application and pay the total fee.
Contact one of the organizers for additional details.

To participate in the race there are Two Options available.

Individual Participation (option 1):
  • Run Individually in the race
  • Race deposit to confirm place will be Rs 10,000 for Domestic and $200 for Internationals
  • Total race fee is Rs 55,000 for Domestic & $1600 for Internationals
Team Participation (option 2):
  • RUN as a TEAM
  • Minimum Team members have to be 4
  • All of them will participate and can run together or separately.
  • Finish the race like a relay. Each person will have to take up one day completely. Half day transfers are not allowed. However, other members in the team members can also run if needed on the non-assigned day.
  • Team Race deposit is Rs 10,000 for domestic and $200 for internationals
  • Additionally, each team member need to pay a race fee of Rs 35,000 each for domestic and $800 each for internationals.

In both the options the participants can either pay themselves or raise it as donations from friends, family and relatives. In either case the fee remains the same.

However, in cases where race fee money is raised via donations, portion of that race fee will go to our charity organization, Jana Rakshita

 
NOTES:
  Within a week of receiving your online application and deposit, we will confirm your entry via email.
 
  Fee Includes:
   
  • Pick up and drop off to Bagdogra Airport
  • All Accommodation at hotel/lodge during the travel on sharing basis
  • Food, water, beverages (tea & coffee) cooked specifically by our official Race Chef Sherpa Sangay
  • Our official Race medic services, first aid and medicines
  • Aid station support and supplies
  • Sherpa crew support and for transporting luggage etc.,
  • Volunteer support
  • Baggage transportation from start to finish line of every stage
  • Jeep (Land Rover) pick up facilities in-case a runner is injured, disqualified or decides to give up
  • Windchasers merchandise, bibs, medals & certificates
  • Photographs shot by the official Race photographer
  • All tourist taxes, entry fees and other charges during the travel.
  • A whole lot of warmth, support and encouragement from the The Windchasers crew.
     
  Fee does not Include:
   
Flight from Delhi to Bagdogra and Bagdogra to Delhi
Personal expenses such as drinks, postage, laundry and souvenirs
Beverages and food that you personally buy ' Water and tea will be provided.
Travel insurance and Emergency evacuation
Any personal expenses like Laundry, STD calls, etc.
Any claim due to natural Calamities such as land slide, road blockage etc.
 
CANCELLATION POLICY:
  If notice of cancellation is received 60 days or more before the event, you will receive a refund of two-third’s of the total fees. No fees will be refunded for any cancellation received less than 30 days before the event.
